Our Professional Referral Process
We have designed an easy referral process so that people can access the treatment they need as quickly as possible.
Professional referral sources who are interested in making a referral to Agave Ridge Behavioral Hospital can start the process by calling, faxing, or emailing our admissions department with information about their patient. Our admissions coordinators then work in tandem with our business development team to determine a patient’s eligibility for admission. We then notify the referral source if we are able to admit the patient, or we provide them with a referral for another treatment provider.
Once a patient has arrived at our treatment center, we notify the professional referral source so that they are aware that the admissions process has been initiated.
When you contact our admissions team, they can provide information about the following:
- Patient consent to speak with a professional referral source
- Admissions criteria
- Detailed steps of the admissions process
- Evidence-based therapies and practices we use
- Personalized treatment plans we offer
- Continuing care plans

The Professional Referral Experience
When you refer a patient to Agave Ridge Behavioral Hospital, we will collaborate with you on that individual’s care as much as possible after receiving their consent. We know that you understand your patient’s treatment history and presenting symptoms, so we believe that working closely with you will give your patient the best chance at having the most optimal treatment experience.
If you request, we can provide you with updates on your patient’s treatment progress, and we encourage any feedback you are willing to offer. We also involve the professional referral source in developing the patient’s aftercare plan so that the patient is prepared for the next steps once their time at our treatment center has come to an end.
